My little green friend during the farmstay on Big Island Hawaii

Look at this weird stunning beauty of god's creation!

I just love chameleons! I always wanted to have one as a pet at home! They are just so cool so relaxed, cute and beautiful. It took me one and a half years to finally see one on Hawaii! It's always happening when you expect it the least right?
So that's how it happened to me some weeks ago on Big Island Hawaii.
Finally gathering all my left over energy for one of the last times hitting the hard volcanic soil. About to pull out the the last little weed roots of the persistent Hawaiian Honohono gras. After four days hard work of pulling this little beast I felt kind of released and finally wanted to get finished. But watch out! Don't hit !!!! There is something... a.... wouuuuuh it's a big chameleon! A dream come true! I've been sooo happy! All the emotional lift about being able to transform a chaotic wild piece of jungle into a whole new garden in the shape of a mini maze with ginger and tumeric plants was suddenly priority number two!
All my focus on the amzing Jackson Chameleon. Due to the missing horns it was a female one as I got to learn. Fascinated by the funny squinting pop-eyes I dared to get closer with my fingers until she crawled on me. It felt so weird, inconvenient first! They have claws! Big claws as their hands! So she was clinging very tight on my hand while I watched her doing her walk on my body up to my shoulder totally relaxed in slowmo.

One of my favourite #hawaiiadventures thanks to the welcoming neat Papalani farm I got the chance to work on.
